How to structure an example answer (STAR)

S: Situation. Where and when, in one or two sentences.
T: Task. What you were responsible for.
A: Action. What you did, step by step. This is the longest part.
R: Result. The outcome, ideally with a number, and what you learned.

Having two or three real examples in mind is plenty. Most of the questions marked “Example” can be answered with one of them, and it's fine to take a moment to choose.
